Difficult Decisions
From the Editor
Dear G Magazine Friends, Fans, Subscribers, and Supporters:

I don’t have to remind you about the difficult economic times we are experiencing. The current market is unlike anything I’ve experienced in my twenty-plus years in media and magazine publishing. However, we have built something special at G Magazine, and we are determined to weather this financial storm by being nimble, creative, and aggressive in securing our future and in continuing to deliver this exceptional publication.

Our parent company, GulfStream Communications, has made the difficult decision to suspend operations of G Magazine effective December 1, 2010. We are hopeful that this situation is temporary. To help shore up our business for 2011 and beyond, we made the decision to cancel our January/February issue. This was a difficult decision for the G Magazine team, and we hate to disappoint you, our loyal supporters. Our goal is to secure local financial support to keep moving G Magazine forward. We will keep you informed as we progress and have a firm direction for 2011.

We hope you understand the necessary steps we are taking to move forward in a stronger position, and we trust you’ll stay with us as we strive to capture the unique people, places, and personalities of the Upstate in print, on the Web, and through an expanding array of signature events. Thank you for believing in the mission of G Magazine, and for your commitment to preserving the best of Greenville.
