Jonathan Rouse and Leah Holder Wyman, June 12, 2010, Leah and Jon’s artful wedding was the finale to a courtship that began whimsically at a Waffle House in Atlanta. The two musicians were introduced by mutual school friends in New York City, where Leah, a Greenville native, attended the Manhattan School of Music, and Jon, Juilliard. They decided to meet up in Jon’s Atlanta hometown during their Christmas break. Three and a half years later, Jon popped the question in a locker room right before one of Leah’s operatic performances. Summer Isreal and Matthew Johnson, June 13, 2010, Summer and Matthew met on Match.com and dated for exactly one year before deciding to make things official. The two were married by the groom’s father at Fred W. Symmes Chapel, “Pretty Place,” at Camp Greenville, and celebrated with a carnival-themed reception, where guests enjoyed MoonPies and RC Cola before hors d’oeuvres of mini corndogs, beef sliders, and brandied candy apple slices at Wyche Pavilion. Tarsha Britton and Matthew Cannon, May 22, 2010, After meeting at a job fair, the couple realized they exercised at the same gym, and Tarsha couldn’t resist talking to Matthew. They dated for two years before he proposed at Rick Erwin’s Corporate Loft in the presence of family and friends. The ceremony was held at Allen Temple A.M.E. Caroline Senn and Jonathan Anders, March 13, 2010, After meeting during Caroline’s senior year of college, Jon and Caroline spent the next two and half years together, having fun and enjoying life. Because they love nothing more than spending time at the lake, it was no surprise that Jon decided to propose under the waterfalls at beautiful Lake Jocassee. Charles Langdon Waddell and Kathryn Elise White, May 15, 2010, When Kat put on one of her unusual outfits for a normal day in class, she couldn’t have known it would catch her future love’s eye. But that is exactly what happened, and after the two shared a ride to an out-of-town concert, she was hooked on his smile. On an October morning ten months later, Charlie proposed in the Boston Public Garden with a ring tucked inside a hollowed-out copy of one of their favorite books. Josh Thompson and Lindsay Scott, March 6, 2010, Match.com promises to connect soul mates—and on January 8, it did. Three days after meeting online, Lindsay and Josh ventured downtown to get sushi on their first date. Once they started talking, they didn’t stop. Exactly six months later, Josh recreated their first date and surprised Lindsay with a ring. After three years of dating, Erin was overjoyed when an unexpected cancellation on Evan’s band tour allowed him to join her family at the beach. That night, during a walk on the beach, Evan listed all the things he wanted to do in his life—ending with asking Erin to be his wife.
