I Can Be a Kid Again Gala - July 29, 2010 To celebrate the Children’s Museum of the Upstate’s first birthday, guests at this cocktail gala were able to seize their childhood again and try out the exhibits normally reserved for the small fry—in addition to enjoying fine food, live music, and dancing. Since opening, the museum has seen more than 120,000 visitors, and proceeds from the event will be used for the museum’s operation and educational programs. |

Reedy River Jazz & Wine Festival - April 30, 2010 With 550 guests in attendance, the evening included wine tasting and performances by headliner Marcus Anderson (winner of the Capital Jazz Fest National Challenge), the Yonrico Scott Band featuring Charles Hedgepath, Whitney Walters, and more. Proceeds benefited the Ronald McDonald House, providing a “home away from home” for families of critically ill or severely injured children being treated at area hospitals. |

G Magazine’s Last Band Standing - June 24, 2010 Following several rounds of online voting, four local bands gathered at The Handlebar and competed for the title of Last Band Standing in G Magazine’s inaugural event. Readers, judges, and the audience had their say, and the winner, Lionz of Zion, went on to take the stage at downtown Greenville’s Red, White, & Blue Festival on July 4. |

Cazbah International Wine Festival - June 12, 2010 One of Make-a-Wish Foundation of South Carolina’s premier events, this upscale street festival featured live music, delicacies from The Cazbah, and 100 different wines from various parts of the world. Around 400 people attended the festival and $30,000 was raised to support the mission of Make-a-Wish Foundation. |

Gifts of Recovery Festival This event, sponsored by the Faces and Voices of Recovery (FAVOR), celebrated the many paths to recovery with twenty-five exhibitors, food, a Recovery Parade led by the Spinks family, and live music by The Jaywalkers, Mac McCloud, and the Brookwood Celebrate Recovery Band. More than 500 people turned out for this outdoor event and many signed up to become members of FAVOR. |

Culture Shock Live music and local art were the hallmarks of the Culture Shock fundraiser to benefit the Triune Mercy Center’s visual art program provided for the community’s homeless population. During the art sale, guests could walk away with original artwork created by the men and women served by the center. |

Moonlight and Magnolias - April 10, 2010 This Gatsby-inspired night honored and celebrated cancer survivors and all proceeds went to the American Cancer Society. Between the 1920’s style food, cocktails, and entertainment, the event was a huge success! |

Rock the Reedy - April 22, 2010 Proceeds from this outdoor concert benefited Loaves and Fishes, a local food rescue agency. And this concert did indeed “Rock the Reedy” with a Beatles tribute band. |

Hope Ball - April 23, 2010 This black tie dinner and dance at the Poinsett Club was the thirteenth annual event benefiting the Cancer Society of Greenville County, provide needed life-sustaining services for local cancer patients. |

Forget Me Not Ball - May 7, 2010 This event was full of fine food and beverages, entertainment and auctions and proceeds went to the Alzheimer’s Association. |

Caribbean Crush - May 1, 2010 Guests donned their flip flops and Hawaiian shirts at this hangar party featuring live music, food, and a silent auction. Proceeds benefited the South Carolina Children’s Theatre which sponsors outreach programs for children in elementary schools and medical facilities along with scholarships for conservatory programs, community performances, and a program for teens using drama to help them make better choices. |
