Don’t miss your chance to stroll up Pendleton Street to meet its pioneering and creative denizens. Just a half-mile west of Academy Street in what was once home to Brandon Mill employees more than a century ago, visual artists have been taking up residence in a strip of vacant storefronts that served this once-bustling mill village. And this fall, art lovers can—for the first time—discover this hidden district’s nearly thirty resident artists, along with plenty others from Greenville and beyond.

The inaugural West Greenville Arts Festival promises a bevy of local art—at least fifty booths—as well as a juried show in the brand-new gallery of festival organizer and neighborhood newcomer Upstate Visual Arts. Local food vendors will be on hand to tame hungry bellies, and Pendleton Street will offer live music and hands-on arts activities for the kids—extra reasons to abandon the sofa for this colorful spot of culture.
