Weaving Our Survival: Upcountry Stories of World War II

During World War II people of all ages in the Upcountry made daily sacrifices and each contributed in their own way to the Allied victory. This new exhibit features sections about home, community, training bases, and the end of the war—honoring the service and sacrifices of the Greatest Generation and engaging audiences to reflect upon their own contributions to their community and country. A special program honoring all veterans will be held on November 7.

Upcountry History Museum, 540 Buncombe St. Wednesday-Saturday, 10am-5pm; Sunday, 1-5pm. $5-$3. (864)467-3100, www.upcountryhistory.org
