The ‘Up’ State of Clay in South Carolina
From face jugs to vessels by Dave Drake (the slave potter), pottery has been a tradition in South Carolina for generations. This winter, the Pickens County Museum presents a collection of works from some of the Upstate’s most influential ceramic artists working today. Guest-curated by ceramicist Johnny Nutt, this exhibit features artists from Greenville, Seneca, Rock Hill, and more. An opening reception will be held on December 12, 6-8pm.
