Kids Art Camp

Children ages seven to fourteen can create artwork and crafts during two art camps sponsored by the Pickens County Museum. Art instructors Renee Gillespie and Dale Stone will teach Artifacts Inspire Art at the Museum, a camp where students will create four works of art and learn about shapes, shadows, and perspective. In Folklife Art at the Hagood Mill, students will learn about Appalachian rhythm with the kazoo, washboard, and flute; create a clay pot; try felting; and weave a handmade basket. Works will be on display during a reception for family and friends on July 24, 1-2pm.
