Raise funds for the local Red Cross with this gourmet dinner and silent auction of Thomas Arvid’s realistic and oversized wine-themed paintings. The Upstate Chapter of the Red Cross provides disaster relief and assistance for thousands of people each year.

Capture the feel of Rio de Janerio during Carnival at the Red Cross’s annual fundraiser, An Affair with Flair. The evening includes a wine tasting, silent auction, hors d’oeuvres, and dancing.

This annual circus-themed casual event features live performances by the Florida State University Flying High Circus, a Circus of the Stars with acrobatic acts from local celebrities, themed foods and beverages, and interactive games. Proceeds benefit the Center for Developmental Services that provides services to children and families affected by developmental delays and disabilities.

With the money you spend on your ticket to this annual event, Meals On Wheels can feed ten people for one week, delivering hot meals to those who would not normally have them. The evening features a sit-down dinner, live entertainment, and live and silent auctions. In addition, a Sweetheart of the Year, an individual or couple that exemplifies the organization’s spirit, will be honored.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day by helping young hearts. G Magazine, Zen, and Table 301 present “Art for Hearts,” an the opportunity to view and purchase new works from area artists Jessica Libor, Lily Stratton, and Christina Sawicki. Light hors d’oeuvres will accompany a cash bar. Twenty-five percent of the proceeds from the event benefit the Pediatric Cardiology unit of Greenville Hospital System.

This year’s event is in honor of first responders who give their time and risk their lives to rescue those in need.

The Greenville Literacy Association invites everyone to stay at home for a Friday evening, read a good book, relax with a cup of hot tea, and donate to the association what they would normally spend going out. Just call for an invitation, and it will arrive with a complimentary tea bag to start off your evening. Greenville Literacy Association provides instruction for adults in addition to English as a Second Language, math, and computer-skills education.
