Blockhouse Restaurant & Oyster Bar

The Blockhouse looks and feels like a bar, which is why the food comes as a bit of a surprise. You’ll find regular bar staples on the menu—nachos, wings, and the like—but this Augusta Street stalwart also serves up ridiculously good oysters.

Take your pick: steamed, raw, Rockefeller, fried, or shooters. Heartier appetites can happily chow down on steaks, loaded baked potatoes, and especially good burgers, so good in fact that the Blockhouse serves thousands of them every year. A nice beer selection and appetizer specials span the week, as well.
