Advertising Sales Account Executive
G–The Magazine of Greenville is looking for a motivated and qualified advertising sales representative with successful experience to handle sales for bi-monthly magazine, Web site, and local events.
The advertising sales representative will need to pursue sales opportunities and account development, must be able to manage and service accounts after closing, and have a track record for attracting and retaining business. The abilities to make solid presentations, negotiate contracts, and close sales also are needed. In addition to having excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and good follow-through, the ideal candidate will be self-motivated and highly goal-oriented in order to achieve sales targets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the sale, from the initial call and closing of the sale to making sure ad materials are received and/or created and coordinating with the designer to make sure everything is in place for the ad to run in the magazine and/or online on time and accurately. The candidate must be able to work independently and be computer proficient.
Top candidates will have advertising sales experience, cold-calling experience, strong presentation skills, and evidence of being a reliable professional and self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit. Top candidates also should demonstrate the ability to build successful relationships, complete reports to update management on account activity and emerging new opportunities, and be able to travel within the Upstate, SC, area.
